Form of workWe are currently sourcing for a Data Engineer / BI Developerto work at Fidelity Investments in our Westlake TX or Smithfield RI office.
The Team:
EAP adoption project, we are working to migrate reporting from FIDW to EAP and adopt recommended reporting tools.The team is building out the semantic layer within Atscale and SAP BO.
The Expertise You Have- Bachelor's or master's degree in a technology related field like Computer Science or Engineering with 6+ years of experience.
- Proficiency with AtScale virtualization tool, building semantic layer and cubes
- 4+ years of experience in building semantic layer with Analytical tools (SAP Business Objects Universe)
- Knowledge on how to build data structure suitable for Analytics and visualization is highly desirable
- Understand the concept of star schema and knowledge of how data model works is desirable
- Familiarity with building visualization with one or more tools like (Tableau, Power BI)
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with snowflake database
- Hands-on experience on SQL query optimization and tuning to improve performance is desirable
- ETL experience with proficiency in data transformation using applications like (Python, Informatica) is a plus
- Responsible for adherence to standards and controls, data quality, problem management, and change management requests
- Experience with scheduling tool and willing to participate on weekend on call rotation
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM) is a plus.
- You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously
- You have experience with relational database design and analysis
- You have ability to take initiative and are self-motivated
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You can work in a highly matrixed, agile environment
- Performing independent technical and functional analysis for determining and developing the best delivery approaches based on requirements
- Providing original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts and critical initiatives
- Development on small to sophisticated initiatives, components, and subsystems
- Crafting and maintaining clear and concise technical documentation and status
- Providing application support, problem diagnosis and resolution, acting as an on-call resource supporting the organization incident escalation models, including code release validation and production installation support

Most associates will have a hybrid schedule with a requirement to work onsite at a Fidelity location for at least one week, 5 consecutive days, every four weeks.
