Position Summary:
Collects data. Records data for various health studies related to physical activity. Verifies accurate and complete data for health studies and subsequently cleans/analyzes data for research purposes.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Collects physical activity data in the field in clinical and free-living settings.
2. Cleans and analyzes physical activity data for research purposes.
3. Manages physical activity databases and related accelerometry hardware.
4. Project manager or principal reviews work.
5. Utilizes the equipment as trained by project manager or principal investigator in order to obtain the required information.
6. Codes and edits information for research projects for entry into database.
7. Handles administrative details (ex. time and effort reports, mileage reports)
8. Produces research reports using physical activity data
9. Other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Trained by project manager or principal on techniques to interview, complete questionnaires, and operate equipment. May need to be bilingual.
Minimum Education:
High School diploma
Minimum Experience:
Two years related experience with emphasis on public contact.
May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
