Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware in Data Center environments
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of computer hardware and network equipment - Providing IT support to staff and customers, as well as responding to server and network issues.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of Data Center equipment
- Monitor and respond to alerts and incidents related to Data Center operations
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including Ethernet cabling and connectivity
- Ensure the security of the Data Center by monitoring CCTV systems and implementing access control measures
- Upgrading internal system components, including CPUs, memory, hard drives, and network cables
- Follow schematics and technical documentation to perform tasks accurately
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Data Center Technician, or similar
- CompTIA ServerPlus, CompTIA Network, or CCNP certification would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and their functions
- Proficiency in using hand tools for equipment installation and repair
- Understanding of Ethernet cabling standards and connectivity principles
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures in a Data Center environment
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs efficiently
- Experience working as a service technician in a related field is a plus
This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
