We are currently looking for aData Center Storage Engineerto support our customer in the Sterling, VA area for an Incident Rapid Response Team. Sites may be in the DMV ( additional sites include, Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, San Franciso, CA, Portland, OR).
Incident Response Team - Will respond and be onsite at a location within 24 hours, providing any type of support a client needs to be operational again. Candidates must be available to travel within a moment's notice. Transportation, lodging , and meal per diem are provided during this time.
Project Details:
- Pay Rate: $52 - $58/hr - Depending on Experience
- Duration: Short-term contract - Depending on client's needs & scope of work
- Location: Depending on client's location
- Requirements: All positions require a successful completion of a background check & possible drug test (we do not check credit) - ABBTECH pays for both checks
JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:
Data Center Storage Engineer
- 5 years storage experience.
- Experience with EMC storage solutions.
- Experience documenting technical solutions utilizing Microsoft Vizio.
- Understanding of NFS, iSCSI, CIFS, S3, and FC storage protocols.
- Manage customer SAN/NAS environments.
- Troubleshooting storage and networking issues as it concerns storage.
- Gathering requirements and providing technical planning and documentation to meet
- future storage needs on a project by project basis.
- Provide for data backup, restoration, and redundancy in line with customer requirements. Perform work on Cisco SAN Fabrics, Brocade SAN Fabrics, and EMC SAN/NAS storage
- technologies.
