Position Overview & Purpose
The Data Analyst at LiveOak Fiber is a critical role responsible for collecting, cleaning, and presenting data. The primary role is to provide standardized reports and metrics based on several data sources and platforms. Other responsibilities will include maintaining data records in the CRM platform and ensuring data integrity and maintenance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Data Collection, Cleaning, and Preparation:
- Use the data that is in the billing and CRM platform to query different data.
- Clean data table values and curate rows and columns for analysis.
Standardize Reporting:
- Create reports that will be the standard for company Data and metrics.
- Use various different platforms and information sources to merge information on agreed upon metrics.
Reporting and Dashboard Creation:
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for different departments.
- Develop interactive dashboards to enable self-service data exploration.
Assist in the CRM Platform’s Address Table Integrity:
- Add additional addresses into the system as needed.
- Modify address and customer status in tables as needed.
Data Quality Assurance:
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel).
- Understanding of databases and tables.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Basic Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, IT or relevant career experience.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and visualize data effectively.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience in data analysis within the telecommunications or ISP industry.
- Knowledge of fiber optic technology and related data.
- Certification in data analysis or business intelligence.
