Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Data Warehouse and Reporting Analyst/Developer- Boca Raton, FL.
The person in this position will work as a team member on University Data Warehouse and Reporting projects. Duties include the following:
Data warehouse development - develop, validate and maintain Data Warehouse data pipelines
- Gather information from subject matter experts about University data and business rules
- Perform analysis of data from multiple sources
- Map data between source systems and the Data Warehouse
- Provide input on the design of the Data Warehouse & the best methods to develop and deploy reports
- Develop, test, and implement extract, transform, and load processes
- Verify the structure and quality of warehouse data to ensure date and report integrity
- Production support to troubleshoot problems with existing Data Warehouse processes or data
- Develop and maintain documentation for the Data Warehouse, reporting software and reports.
State-mandated reporting - Preparation of University data files for submission to the Florida Board of Governors
- Assist with retrieval, conversion, and integration of data needed for reports. This includes data analysis using SQL and other tools, collecting and documenting requirements, and validation of Data Warehouse data.
- Act as a liaison within the Office of Information Technology and with University administrative units to understand and document current business processes and any changes that affect reporting.
- Validate data files to be submitted to the Board of Governors and work closely with administrative units to resolve data issues prior to submission. Review all changes to the Board of Governors file requirements and manage the effort to implement these changes.
- Develop and maintain documentation of processes used for state-mandated reports.
University reporting
- Develop and validate end-user reports using University-supported tools
- Help administer University business intelligence tools: adding users, securing data and reports, troubleshooting technical issues

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Must have experience with relational databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Should have intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL to create queries and views.
Preferred:
Experience with at least one ETL tool, such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and data modeling.
Experience with reporting/analytical tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services.
Salary:
$65,000 - $70,000 a year.
