Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Engineer
Our Employee-Owned company has immediate full-time openings for a Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Engineer. This position will work within Electric Utility Business and be part of an amazing and GROWING team! All positions are regular, full-time and benefits-eligible. Pay range depending on experience, skills, and knowledge.
The Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining 3rd party project management modules, data automation of systems, Data Analytics, report creation and maintenance, business unit liaison for ERP systems. This will require an understanding of our current operations and deliverables to our customers. The successful candidate will need to spend time with management staff to learn about the various systems and how they are used and recommend future enhancements and innovations for making the operation more effective. The candidate must have a strong background in integrating cloud-based architectures including O365 and RPA technologies. Experience supporting a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment is preferred. This role must also communicate and work closely with various operations and support branches to help them achieve operational, company, branch, and department goals.
Job Duties:
- Manage and ensure effectiveness of project management software and mobile applications
- API integration between applications and with ERP as determined
- Report creation and maintenance to meet needs of various customers
- Create Power Bi Power Reports and datasets from exiting data sources
- Collaborate with corporate IT/ Infrastructure team to enhance overall performance for the business units
- Business Unit Liaison for ERP support
- Dashboard creation and maintenance
- Technology and innovation enhancements to improve overall effectiveness of the operations
- Conduct research and make recommendations on infrastructure products, services, protocols, and standards
- Technical writing
- Data analytics and Business Intelligence
- Building a systems integration team of analysts
- Develop automation processes to improve efficiencies
- Improve and automate access to data and reports
- Establish and manage relationships with internal business partners, peers in operational leadership and executive stakeholders across all MP Systems branches.
- Establish and manage relationships with internal business partners, peers in IT leadership and executive stakeholders across all PPC companies.
- Communicate with external parties as needed representing the company in a positive, professional manner.
- Perform yearly security audits with outside vendors. Create and execute plan to remediate security issues and ensure compliance.
- Other general technology or project control duties as assigned or needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems from an accredited college or university.
- (Some college plus 5-10 years of industry-related work experience will also be considered)
- 5-10 years of IT/ Development Analytics Experience - preferably in Electric/ Gas Utility Contracting
- Significant experience with Office 365, Power BI, and various technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, RPA Technology (UIPATH), VB/C# and cloud-based storage technologies
- Experience in supporting environments with greater than 2500 users required. (> 5000 strongly preferred)
- Ability to develop custom solutions using multiple languages
- Extensive experience with database technologies, various operating systems
- Mobile application development for both Android and Apple
- Experience with ETL processing and development
