Position Summary: Position will primarily focus on the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports and assist with the performance, integrity, security, and stability of all organizational databases. Maintains a high level of competency and persistence in analyzing, troubleshooting, and solving problems. Provides appropriate reports and documentation to assist with decision making, to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained.
Data Analyst/Programmer Key Job Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and outliers.
- Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data analytics tools.
- Utilize statistical methods and software to interpret data and generate reports.
- Data Visualization:
- Create data visualizations, including charts, graphs, and dashboards, to present findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Communicate complex data insights in a clear and understandable manner.
- Business Insights:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data-related needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Predictive Analysis:
- Use predictive modeling techniques to forecast future trends, patterns, and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and improvements.
- Data Quality Assurance:
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through data validation and cleansing processes.
- Maintain and update data quality standards.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to management and stakeholders using SQL, SSRS, Tableau and/or NextGen reporting.
- Document data analysis processes and maintain comprehensive records.
Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, skills and ability:
- English (speaking, reading, and writing); communication, technological, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills, including substantial thought processes, concentration, reasoning, and memorization; adequate knowledge and skill level in information/data reporting and basic clerical/computer tasks (i.e., Word, Excel, online reporting)
- Colorado driver's license: ability and willingness to drive/travel; and ability to maintain insurability under the agency's fleet insurance.
Education or Formal Training: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: 3 to 5 years data experience
Qualities and Characters:
- Demonstrates accuracy and high attention to detail.
- Displays a high level of competency and persistence in analyzing, troubleshooting, and solving problems.
- Ability to multi-task and above average math skills
- Proficient in use of office equipment i.e., 10-key, e-mail, fax machine
- Computer skills with an emphasis on Excel and Microsoft programs, experience in computerized accounting software preferred.
- Maintains a professional relationship and positive attitude with co-workers and patients.
- Ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
- Displays enthusiasm toward the work and the mission of the organization.
