What does a successful Data Analyst, Senior Professional do?
As a Data Analyst, Senior Professional you will work within Output Solutions to support reporting and data needs for the business. You will work requests (internal and external client requests, tickets, emails etc.) and/or be involved in projects which require data analysis and efficiency metrics reporting using tools like Power BI and Excel. Working closely with various teams you will need to understand how to support operations via report visualizations, alert notifications, automating reporting functions, and designing and implementing data solutions required to optimize workflows by the business.
What you will do:

• Formulate a solid understanding of our reporting platform, data infrastructure, business drivers and how data is used to inform and direct decisions and behaviors
• Identify source data issues, open and escalate incidents, mine and clean data in preparation for analysis
• Design dynamic self-service dashboards, develop models, and analytics solutions as applicable
• Setup job schedules, automate reports, manage communication and stakeholder expectations
• Troubleshoot and triage of report failures, query errors, and/or new approaches to calculations
• Consolidate and reconcile data, compile information for ad hoc reports and timely distribution
• Report automation flow maintenance (distribution list changes, scheduling modifications, refresh updates, rerunning reports, reformatting report extracts, adding or deleting fields, researching data accuracy inquiries etc.)
• Assist with server maintenance and patching, provide team backup assistance, on-call coverage and incident response
• Provide frequent communication during incidents and continuous monitoring of workflows
• Assist with documenting best practices, onboarding materials, and cross training manuals

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science or related field
• 3+ years' hands-on experience with data and business analysis
• Experience with Power BI and or Tableau, building reports and dashboards
• Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL), T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SSIS and SSRS
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, creating complex formulas, Pivot tables and charts
• Proficiency with ETL tools and processes and MS Office Tools

What would be great to have:

• Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, or related field
• Experience with Microsoft Power Query formula language (M)
• Advanced modeling experience
• Experience with predictive and prescriptive data analytics
• JSON, XML, or HTML programming knowledge
• Financial Industry knowledge and experience
• Manufacturing knowledge and experience
