SSOE is looking to hire a skilled Project Data Analyst with expertise in reporting, dashboards, data analysis, Power BI, and the ability to code in VB or similar languages. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, creating and maintaining reports, financial data, and dashboards, and identifying trends and insights to help make informed business decisions. You will also develop and maintain data pipelines, automate data processes, and develop data visualizations using Power BI. This is a hybrid position located in either Hillsboro, OR or Phoenix, AZ.
- Become familiar with core business, operations and services
- Interpret data, workflow, user, or stakeholders’ inputs, documents, and analyze results
- Filter and normalize data by reviewing data, reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems
- Analyze complex data sets and identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. Perform quality assurance as necessary
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business performance
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Automate data processes using scripting and coding languages
- Develop and maintain data visualizations using Power BI to provide insights to business stakeholders
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and data mining to support business needs
- Communicate key insights and findings to project team
Understand capabilities and limitations of systems and database concepts
Recommend and implement process improvements to deliver better value to stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Power BI and Excel
- Strong VB or similar coding skills
- Experience with data visualization and dashboard development
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets
- Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and/or supporting processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
