Job Description
- Work within a cross-functional team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers on the application of advanced analytical techniques for the purposes of predicting and understanding viewing behaviors and content performance
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement solutions and generate reporting to meet business goals
- Leverage statistical concepts and data analysis for long-term strategic assessments and recommendations
- Think critically about data and the appropriate pairings of uses cases and data to inform content strategy and business decisions
- Develop and deliver high-impact insights and visualizations built on aggregated, large panel and user-level data sets
- Work with data at all stages of the analysis lifecycle
- Effectively communicate potential roadblocks, business solutions, and analytical insights to all levels of the organization
- Manage multiple priorities across a mix of ad-hoc and operational projects
- Bachelors Degree in in a quantitative field such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in Data Analytics and/or Business Intelligence
- Functional knowledge of statistical concepts (statistical inference, probability theory, linear regression, etc.)
- Proficient with SQL or other data manipulation languages (Python, R, etc.)
- Applied experience analyzing and mining large datasets
- Experience with data visualization techniques and platforms (Tableau, Looker, DOMO, etc.)
- Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn new methods and tools
- Comfortable working within a culture of accountability and experimentation
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a project team and communicate insights clearly
- Passion for media and/or previous experience in the media industry
- Experience with panel data or user-level data sets
- Experience using cloud computing environments (Spark, Databricks, AWS, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile team methodologies
