The Analytics & Insights department draws upon the organization’s rich data sources to deliver innovative data-driven strategies and insights across the entire organization. Our work helps inform business decisions and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of care delivery, optimizing the value of the patient experience and our patient outcomes.
The Data Analyst will have the opportunity to work on complex business and patient care problems, leveraging our in-house data sources and growing data warehouse within a collaborative environment.This role will be responsible for supporting organizational initiatives by providing accurate and timely data preparation, analysis and insights, quality assurance, and ongoing system and process maintenance. This person will be responsible for obtaining and validating raw data, performing advanced and predictive analysis, and producing mock-up and production reports and visualizations from available sources. The person will have an in-depth knowledge of data analytic software (Azure, PowerBI), documentation, utilities & program scripts as well as excellent written & verbal communication skills.
How you’ll spend your day
- Maintain and deliver established reporting and tools
- Create new standard and ad hoc reporting.
- Provide analytical support interpreting data and trends.
- Work with database technologies and statistical analytical toolsets to perform advanced and predictive analysis on raw organizational data from multiple sources, such as electronic health records, data lake, and claims data, using algorithms and statistical programming that provide insights into why something occurred and the likelihood of future events.
- Use predictive analytics and data modeling to create data products that provide Ivy rehab operators and clinicians forward-looking insights, presenting opportunities to improve future operation and business efficiencies as well as patient outcomes
- Manage data quality to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the organization’s decision-making.
- Capture, document, and communicate best practices with reporting analyst colleagues.
- Develop strong knowledge of how and why the data is collected in each of the various source systems.
- Gather requirements and design/deliver reporting and automation solutions to meet the project requirements.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic and long-term projects.
- Prepare written analysis and summarize results using graphical representations and professional formatting
- Interest in upskilling and learning new tools and cutting-edge analytical techniques

What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in, statistics, mathematics, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance, business, economics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
- 2+ years experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management analytics experience preferred
- Demonstrated Proficiency in performing advanced and predictive analytics and statistical modeling, trend analysis using R, SPSS, and other advanced analytics software/platforms
- Demonstrated experience with machine learning for the building of algorithms to fit patterns in big data sets.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Excel skills to run advanced analysis, queries of large data sets, and data visualization
- Proficiency in SQL/querying languages
- Proficiency in automating data processing tasks (scripting, including, R, Excel, SQL)
- Experience in designing, updating, and maintaining rich graphic visualizations with the modular design of reports, worksheets, and views in PowerBI with a strong understanding of the appropriate
- Experience with healthcare data is preferred
