Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Associate degree, two years of study at an institute of higher learning.
Valid Level III Texas Educational Aide Certificate
Acceptable background check and fingerprinting results
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
Teacher certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Experience:
Experience working with children in an educational setting.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Support
- Provide assistance and supervision for DAEP/ISS students.
- Work with individual student or small groups.
- Work with teacher to analyze student needs and provide intense instruction in accordance with TEKS/Objectives.
- Set student goals, chart and graph progress
- Use a variety of teaching styles to connect learning.
- Assist teacher in other duties as assigned.
Student Management
- Work closely with teachers by communicating special needs or problems of individual students.
- Provide direct supervision to DAEP/ISS students throughout the school day.
Other
- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
- Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom
