Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

We provide a full suite of Security First computer technology managed IT services, including products like Microsoft Office 365 and Teams, as well as computer systems sales and service, structured cabling, varied voice/phone solutions, telephony, cloud VoIP solutions and internet/voice carrier services.

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our growing team!

The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer will design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure for Centaris and our clients. You will actively monitor tickets, remediate, and make recommendations of the proper security posture. You will ensure networks are secure, protect against unauthorized access, modification, destruction, and troubleshoot any access problems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Develop and deploy security frameworks and technologies.
• Manage and maintain security infrastructure.
• Configure and monitor security tools to ensure the integrity and availability of information systems.
• Respond to and troubleshoot incident response efforts, including analyzing security incidents and coordinating with relevant teams.
• Second level of escalation from the help desk or other departments for security related incidents and issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems (or related degree/equivalent combination of work experience) is required.
• 4+ years’ Cybersecurity experience with an emphasis on the NIST cybersecurity framework.
• 4+ years’ administrative support experience with Windows Server Active Directory and Group Policy configuration
• 4+ years’ experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls. (Certification preferred)
• 4+ years’ experience with VMWare, Hyper-V, and other server virtualization technologies preferred.
• 4+ years’ experience with Backup/Recovery and High Availability systems and technologies preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience with MS PowerShell automation and script development preferred.

This position is primarily remote; however, candidates must be able to commute to our Sterling Heights office as needed.
