Customer Service/Warehouse Associate

Organizational Relationships:

Title of Immediate: Customer Service Associate and Warehouse Associate.

Reporting positions with whom this position regularly works with: Purchasing Department, Inside Sales Representatives, Receiving, Shipping, Distribution Center, Accounting/Finance.

Objective:

Associate will provide support company-wide to enhance the overall Customer experience. This individual will work directly with and have a solid understanding of Purchasing, Operations, and Finance. The associate will work with the corresponding team members to remove roadblocks, and create a fluid progression from purchase order entry, receiving, discrepancies, sales order processing and shipping. The associate will possess excellent customer service, MS Office skills, and Eclipse skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Process all Returns in our systems, track returns and determine if returning to vendor for credit or stock/inventory.

· Responsible for all purchase orders for stock with discrepancies and claims. Notify Purchasing or Writer about long time, issues or availability.

· Has complete understanding of purchasing and receiving processes.

· Supports Customer Experience Specialist by assisting with Receiving Discrepancies.

· Acquire packing slips.

· Responsible for inventory put-away or shipping of material for returns. .

· Manages time effectively, meets personal goals and works effectively with other members of the team.

· Maintains proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software.

· Follows company policies and procedures.

· Consistently presents a professional image to internal partners, Customers and vendors.

· Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication.

· Works effectively with team members to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.

Qualifications:

· Must have accurate data entry skills.

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced changing and dynamic work environment.

· Must possess strong organizational skills.

· Works well in a group/team setting with limited amounts of supervision.

· Effective communicator, comfortable interacting with internal customers, vendors and internal partners in a professional manner.

· Is aware of own strengths and weaknesses and is open to developmental feedback. Demonstrates a willingness to take responsibility for personal development.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office/warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, document scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. The role also requires handling inventory, opening boxes, using flat cart and tote cart to transfer material within the distribution center.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a somewhat sedentary role; however, some physical labor is required. This would require the ability to lift product or boxes, bend or stand as necessary, using a ladder. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift upwards of 25 pounds for material.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
