Firefighter Insurance Services has deep roots in the fire industry. We were founded by a 3rd generation retired California firefighter and we know the Fire Family better than anyone!
Currently, we have an immediate need for a Customer Service/Sales Representative (CSR/Sales Rep). The Customer Service/Sales Representative is responsible for servicing new business and remarkets, providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to customer and carriers. The CSR/Sales Rep is also responsible for meeting individual and benchmark goals.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Handle all servicing related telephone calls and personal visits from prospects and customers pertaining to coverage, claims, new business, remarkets and additional lines of coverage in a timely manner.
- Conduct coverage reviews with customers and recommend additional lines of coverage if the need becomes apparent.
- Review all incoming mail, faxes, e-mails and voice-mails the day they are received and respond according to reasonable guidelines set by manager.
- Process all monetary transactions in accordance with agency and carrier practices and procedures.
- Work suspense list on daily basis to keep current and follow up with customers in a timely manner.
- Maintain a current knowledge of insurance coverages, exposures and their available markets.
- Maintain a current knowledge of underwriting guidelines, rating systems and processing requirements for each carrier.
- Attend educational seminars as required by Agency.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: HS Diploma/GED (General Education Development)
- Property & Casualty License
- Life Insurance License (optional)
- 1 year of Customer Service Representative experience
- Thorough knowledge of State Insurance Laws and P&C coverage definitions
- Broad base knowledge of Insurance Agency practices and procedures
