Job Description
The HT Group is partnering with a community recreation center in the Wells Branch area to find an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and friendly Recreation Center Customer Service Specialist to help guests. This team member will be in a forward-facing customer support role for recreation center members and residents of the area. We are looking for an upbeat, energetic individual who has amazing communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
Pay: $19/hr
Position: Contract to Hire
Location: North Austin, TX
3 Days during the week from 1PM-9PM and an 8 hour shift on Saturday and Sunday
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the front desk at Recreation Center
- Greet and check-in customers, receive and direct incoming calls, and sign out and track equipment utilized daily
- Oversee the content development and distribution of the Recreation/Community Guides
- Collaborate with other department personnel to support their marketing and advertisement needs
- Set up water accounts for residents and collect payments
- Correspond with vendors as service issues arise
- Explain use of materials and equipment to enforce rules and regulations to ensure safety
- Monitor activities in gym, open recreation area, locker rooms, etc.
- Conduct calendar management and assist sponsored events as needed
- Close and lock up Recreation Center at the end of the day
- Responsible for weekly bank deposits
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous customer service and/or call center experience
- Represent the District in a positive and professional manner
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must enjoy interacting with vendors, contractors, and district visitors
- Highly attentive to detail and trustworthy
