Provides first-line communication with a variety of clients, patients, and providers, to facilitate the intake, qualification, and ordering process of durable medical equipment and home medical equipment products, supplies, and services.
Ability to interpret physician orders and ability to interpret patient insurance requirements as it relates to the care needed, including prior authorizations, supplies due in a certain time frame and relaying information back to the client in an understandable format.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers, management, providers and any other parties involved in day to day interactions.
Ability to set priorities that accurately reflect importance of current job responsibilities and fluctuating workload.
Multi-task oriented with desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to educate patients on the use of equipment.
Strong computer skills are a must.
