Job Description:
Salvage Yard Office Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to our salvage yard operations, including managing records, performing data entry, communicating with customers, and assisting with other tasks as needed. Performing duties for the Office Manager upon request. The Salvage Yard Office Assistant is to cover the Office manager position when they are gone from the business for any reason.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and purchases
Manage phone calls and emails from customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and copying documents
Assist with scale operations and cash drawer when needed
Responsible for data entry on sales counter along with sales team
Help maintain a safe and clean office environment
Assist with Customer Service, including answering questions and resolving issues
Process payments.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with salvage yard operations is a plus
