Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work.
- Identify and assess customer's needs to exceed their expectations.
- Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
- Build routes using loads planned in the system (Kiwi TSS)
- Oversee execution of all loads per planned shipment plan with internal carrier dispatch as well as any external carriers
- Manage any changes and disruptions to the plan through effective and prompt communication to all stakeholders
- Track shipment readiness with shipping and production stakeholder by being a proactive planning member of the team reporting into Customer Service
- Compare transportation carrier invoices against shipment and order information, carrier contracts and shipment documents and clearly record any issues (sort, store and organize all BOLs)
- Inventory Planner
- Review, audit and approve freightinvoices
- Build relationships with carriers to streamline services and resolve any issues
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely delivery of all shipments
- Run analysis on freight cost and source freight for special projects when needed
- Responsible for the daily execution of inbound/outbound shipments
- Responsible for achieving all fiscal year financial and performance goals and objectives
- Manage transportation events to ensure manufacturing, supplier and customer satisfaction
- Responsible for weekly service metric review for selected facilities; including cost, on-time performance, route guide compliance, carrier capacity, spot shipment performance, etc
- Ensure carrier receipt and response of daily load tenders
- Perform daily outbound and inbound load tendering process
- Track loads and hold carriers accountable to on-time pick-up and delivery
- Communicate frequently with internal / external customers and carriers
- Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities
- Manage carrier trailer pools at selected facilities and suppliers

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be able to make major decisions in the following areas:
- Order entry
- Inventory levels
- Prioritizing customer requests
- Customer complaints & questions
- Maintaining inventory
- VMI - Monitor adequate product levels
- Minimal travel required, 5% or less.
Required Experience:
- 2 plus years experience in Customer Service is preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
