Great Garden Plants is currently seeking a Customer Service Representativeto provide outstanding Customer Service!
The plants are not the only thing that makes Great Garden Plants so great. Our Customer Service team takes pride in supporting gardeners at every step in their gardening journey, from making a purchase to answering questions. This role will provide enthusiastic Customer Service while responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat. The right candidate will have a flexible schedule and is open to working 30-40 hours per week onsite. No green thumb is required, but a commitment to exceptional Customer Service is necessary!
Anticipated season duration February – October.
Weekly hours starting in Feb/March 9:00am-3:00pm EST. Peak season April-October 9:00am-5:00pm EST. No weekends or evenings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process orders in accordance with company policies/procedures.
- Answer the telephone and respond to emails and chats in a timely manner.
- Provide horticulture information to educate customers on our products.
- Promote our company brand professionally.
- Other projects as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Two years’ previous sales/marketing and Customer Service experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Commitment to providing excellent Customer Service
- Positive and energetic personality
- Strong computer and phone skills
- Accurate data entry skills
- Ability to multi-task with various projects
- Attention to detail
- Horticultural knowledge a plus
- Work independently with limited direct supervision
Performance Requirements:
- Must maintain a level of performance equivalent to company standards, that being a “Meets Expectations” in all areas of your performance evaluations (including but not limited to, Self and Management reviews).

- Job Type: Seasonal - Full time, hourly (exempt); This is not a remote position.
- Pay: starting at $17.34 hour until 3/10/24 increasing to $18.50 on 3/11/2024
- Benefits: Health Insurance eligible, subject to new hire waiting period.
