The Customer Service Representative provides internal support to Sales Representatives and assists in developing and maintaining a professional business relationship with customers.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide internal support to assigned Sales Representatives regarding any customer problems, complaints, or requests.
- Answer customer calls regarding orders, inquiries, and problems/complaints.
- Place and process customer orders received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Answer customer questions regarding product and/or their order.
- Handle complaints within established guidelines and initiate appropriate follow-up and response.
- Track orders/trace deliveries that customers have not received to determine status of order and expected time arrival.
- Assist customers with returned goods; write up returned goods authorizations for returning merchandise.
- Provide pricing information to customer.
- Complete and maintain all paperwork related to customer transactions.
- Fax/Email information to customers regarding invoices, proof of deliveries, etc.
- Act as a liaison between customer and other internal departments.
- Work closely with the purchasing warehouse and shipping departments.
- Create new customer bill to / ship to accounts including price lists
- Assist with customer master conversions
- Create on-line user access
- E-Commerce site customer set-up to include loading item images for online display
- Assist with customer master account re-assignments
- Resolution of daily EDI Order Errors
- Create custom item level display for program customer products
- Provide Sales support regarding pricing/set up/online access
- Provide support/training to customers regarding ecommerce
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school equivalent or diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous sales support or Customer Service experience.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet or exceed deadlines and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow up
- Must have drive to produce accurate results and accountability
- Must work well in a team, be self-motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication, and Customer Service skills.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- SAP experience preferred.
