Cowlitz PUD staff positions are set in pay ranges as determined by a market-based salary study and salaries are determined by evaluating a candidate's experience and qualifications as well as organizational pay equity.

This is a union position starting at $27.09 per hour. Customer Service Representatives work on site Monday thru Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.Customer Service Representatives communicate daily with customers regarding their residential and commercial utility service via the phone and in person. CSR's spend time helping customers interpret, understand, and make payments on their utility bills. CSR's market, promote, and supports existing and future services to best fit customer needs. CSR's monitor and maintain utility account records in the Customer Information System (CIS) for accurate customer data.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
Minimum of two (2) years recent Customer Service or call center experience.
Minimum one (1) year recent banking or cash handling experience.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills.
Must be able to pass a cash handling and computer competency test.
Desirable Qualifications:
Associate degree in business administration, accounting, or related degree.

  • Work is performed in the office Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Remote work is not available for this position.
