Welcome to Service Station Systems, Inc. (SSS), where our commitment to safety, expert service, and complete customer satisfaction drives everything we do. We operate within the fuel industry, servicing not only gas stations, but also any location where fuel systems are present. Our team of experts specializes in installing and maintaining primary fuel pumps and dispenser manufacturer’s equipment, as well as providing spill containment maintenance. We also service electronic point of sale systems, and other electronic devices and systems commonly found at service stations. Our comprehensive service offerings extend to include air quality and environmental testing through our dedicated compliance department. Many of the systems and equipment we service and maintain are integral to your daily life.

 

At SSS, we take pride in our exceptional teams, comprised of fully licensed and certified service technicians, expert line testers, and an amazing group of administrative and field support staff. We’re excited to open the position of Customer Service Representative and potentially have you as part of our growing company! This position would report to the Dispatch Manager and will fill either the Sunday through Thursday schedule, or Tuesday through Saturday schedule. Your position has a direct impact on the integrity of customer jobs and the safety of our service technicians, customers, and public. As part of our Customer Service Team, you play a crucial role in connecting our customers with our services, which is the heart of our business.

 

Job Duties:

  • Receive emails from customers reporting service needs for various locations, route emails to internal teams, and enter that data into company systems.
  • Manage inbound phone calls directly from customers reporting service needs.
  • Enter call data efficiently and accurately to create and process service requests or new jobs in our systems.
  • Update customer websites and systems with job details, technician status updates, and closure information.
  • Escalate urgent Customer Service issues to managers clearly, and promptly.
  • Take calls or emails from service technicians asking for various assistance (payment processing related, job details, parts requests, schedule, etc.) and directly address their needs or effectively route to appropriate team members.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience (Customer Service, dispatch, data entry, etc.)
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook (intermediate) and Excel (basic).
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written), ability to think quickly and exercise good judgement.
  • Ability to organize a high volume of data and communicate that data to team members.
  • Exceptional data entry accuracy, while maintaining speed of work.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
  • Secondary language skills are a plus, but not required (Punjabi, Spanish, Vietnamese).
  • Mid to High typing WPM is a plus.
  • Experience in inventory/resource management is a plus.
  • The ideal candidate takes instruction well, learns from mistakes, is self-motivated, takes personal accountability for their work, and is a team player above all else. Respectful communication and professionalism are requirements of this role.

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • This position is expected to pay between $22-$27 per hour.
