Customer Order Service Associate
McMurray Fabrics seeks a dynamic team-oriented and highly organized Customer Order Service Associate (COSA). As the McMurray Fabrics COSA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer orders, maintaining customer satisfaction, and supporting the overall efficiency of our operation. You should possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment that supports the McMurray Fabrics brand while advocating for customers.
What you will do:
- Act as a McMurray Brand Ambassador to support customer needs and drive product excellence initiatives.
- Receive and process customer orders through various channels such as email, EDI or online platforms.
- Verify customer order accuracy, ensuring all required information is captured, including product details, quantities, pricing, and shipping information.
- Communicate with customers to resolve any order discrepancies, address inquiries, and provide order updates throughout the process.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, production, planning and logistics, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of customer interaction, order details, and any special requirements or instructions.
- Develop and maintain customer centric relations.
- Partner with and act as liaison between departments and the customer to assure customer expectations are communicated and executed.
- Manage any customer complaints.
- Assure customer expected deadlines and communicate when the deadlines need to be adjusted.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload deadlines.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in processing customer orders and maintaining records.
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in resolving customer issues.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with order management systems, ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
Qualifications:
AAS in business management or equivalent is preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in Customer Service or a closely related field, preferably in a manufacturing setting, is required.
