SalaryNashoba Valley Technical High School is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Part Time Custodian. Located in Westford, MA, Nashoba Valley Technical High School serves students from our district towns of Ayer, Chelmsford, Groton, Littleton, Pepperell, Shirley, Townsend, and Westford, Massachusetts.This is a part-time position, hours are negotiable, The first 60 days are Probationary period.Custodian Job Functions
- Perform all cleaning tasks inside and outside school buildings, including sweeping, using vacuum cleaner, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, buffing, sealing and waxing floors, and dusting
- Moving and arranging furniture, equipment, draperies, and storage equipment
- Removing wastepaper and other materials and emptying waste receptacles inside and outside of the building
- Replacing light bulbs
- Perform routine maintenance on lavatory equipment, including unstopping plugged fixtures
- Removing ice and snow from school grounds and roof decks, salting and sanding
- Locking and unlocking facility and securing facility when leaving the building vacant, including setting alarms
- Unloading and storing supplies and equipment
- Picking up and delivering supplies
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Occasional minor electrical work, carpentry, plumbing and painting
- Performing security functions as needed
- Driving forklift on intermittent basis
- Driving school vehicles as needed
- Such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Facilities or Night Shift Supervisor
