We seek a detail-oriented and versatile Curriculum Developer to join our team in developing special education transition materials. In this role, you will play a vital part in designing and developing a dynamic, inclusive curriculum aligned with educational standards and transition guidelines. Your understanding of content management, Google tools, and special education transition will contribute to successfully creating high-quality materials that support students in reaching their transition goals.
Job Description:
- Produce a dynamic and engaging curriculum that is adaptable to students with diverse learning needs and offers multiple means of engagement.
- Develop learning objectives that align with core transition guidelines and educational standards.
- Determine evaluation criteria and modes of assessment to measure the effectiveness of core content objectives.
- Map standard alignment across the curriculum using curriculum design methodology.
- Work closely with team members to ensure that the quality of content meets high standards for accuracy and quality and that content is consistent with the tone of voice guidelines and ensures equity in learning.
- Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.
- Develop informal assessment tools designed to assist teachers in transition outcome goal writing.
- Build and manage organizational systems designed to efficiently and effectively manage content materials and streamline content-building processes.
- Assist marketing team in delivering key information on lesson materials and development, proofread & contribute to email marketing language, and provide additional components/ materials for use in sales.
- Facilitating consistent and effective communication with educators
- Participate in on-site or remote school and agency visits.
Requirements:
- Possesses an understanding of addressing diverse student learning needs, with classroom experience preferred.
- Familiarity with transition procedures in special education is preferred.
- While not a requirement, candidates with a Curriculum Development/Design degree are preferred.
- Demonstrates a basic understanding of incorporating technology into curriculum development.
- Exemplary organizational, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.
