What you will do
The Culinary Technology Associate is responsible for leveraging culinary knowledge and data analysis techniques to improve food-related processes, enhance kitchen operations, and make informed decisions in the culinary industry. They collaborate with chefs, managers, field operators, and IT to optimize food preparation, menu planning, inventory, waste, and cost management.
You will...
- Assist with collection, categorization, and interpretation of data. Ensures a seamless flow of data amongst kitchen operation IT systems.
- Champion, implement, and demonstrate adherence to TC standard processes, TC recipe/menu standards, and standardized recipes & menus.
- Coordinate ongoing maintenance of TC culinary systems and databases.
- Identify and create training materials for end users (operations).
- Conduct JAMIX training, including recipe and menu development, production management, inventory, and waste, for field operators.
- Assist in cost analysis, budgeting, and cost reduction initiatives by identifying areas where efficiency can be improved without compromising quality.
- Tag recipes and ingredients as appropriate.
- Identify recipes written with a scratch, freshly made and whole ingredient focus.
- Identify and help refine nutritionally sound recipes.
- Assist in implementing corporate and regional programs/initiatives.
- Act as a conduit between the opening team, culinary, and field operators to ensure standard culinary processes are being deployed and established during openings.
- Support the opening team both remotely and on-location as needed.
- Deploy information to appropriate parties, assist in fielding inquiries, and help resolve issues through the support portal.
Pay range: $55,000 - $60,000 annually

What you will need
- The position may require some outside travel (up to 25%) and will also support accounts during the opening process or as needed.
- Degree in Culinary Arts and /or a minimum of 2 years experience in food service operations.
- Minimum of (1) year healthcare foodservice experience preferred.
- Comprehension of patient dietary constraints, familiarity with IDDSI, and general therapeutic diet restrictions.
- Rounded knowledge of food with a focus on future trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Understand food costing and menu analysis and identify costing gaps and menu solutions.
- Expert with computers and multiple technology solutions; Microsoft Office (Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, Email, internet, POS systems, data, and Culinary Technology.
- Serv Safe certification required (or within 3 months of employment)
