Title: Credit & Collections Specialist-Reimbursement & AR (BioPlus)
Location: Onsite | FL-Altamonte Springs; 370-774 Northlake BLVD
Shifts Available:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm
Monday-Friday 10:00am-7:00pm
Monday-Friday 11:00am-8:00pm
The Credit & Collections Specialist is responsible for collection activities related to past due health insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims.
How you will make an impact:
• Outbound calling to collect payment directly from patients.
• Insurance Accounts Receivable reflective of old money and new money tasks.
• Handle Explanation of Benefits.
• Handling data manipulation using Excel.
• Follows established guidelines, contacts group for the purpose of collecting past due insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims.
• Research validity of past due and/or disputed debt.
• Generates demand letters.
• Prepares reports reflecting status of credit and collection activities for management review.
Minimum Requirements:
• Requires a H.S. diploma and a minimum of 1 year of prior commercial debt collection experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
• Collections experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Insurance experience preferred.
• Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excel experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to multitask strongly preferred - Microsoft Excel and Outlook email.
