The Opportunity at Hand
The Creative Design Intern is responsible for assisting the Creative Services team with the overall execution of daily tasks and ongoing projects as directed by the Manager of Creative Design and Assistant Manager of Creative Services. This includes, but is not limited to, graphic design and video editing. Light maintenance, cleaning, and clerical work may also be required from time to time.
Projects & Tasks
- Assist designers with creative executions, including graphic design and video production
- Follow a workflow consistent with best practices and timeliness defined by the Creative Services team
- Research inspiration for creative imagery relative to brand direction
- Act as a sounding board to help achieve creative vision
- Help prepare files for production
- Clean and maintain design server
- Keeps all sensitive matters confidential
- Other duties as assigned
What you will need to make an impact
- Interest in Visual Communications or Marketing
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize new systems
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.
- Ability to work within brand guidelines while finding creative ways to apply new technology and ideas
- Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Must be a team player who is open to receiving constructive feedback
- Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change with urgency and persistence
- The ability to be innovative and creative when handling difficult business challenges
- Appreciation and interest in sports/lifestyle apparel
Education and Experience
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program within Graphic Design, Media Arts, or another creative field
The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
