Job Overview:
The Counter Aide/Food Preparer performs deli setup and a wide variety of routine tasks in the cafeteria, kitchen, tray line, dish & pot washing areas as needed. This individual completes assigned tasks according to standard practices and procedures, complying with regulatory requirements, ensuring that the customer's needs are met to satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Successful completion of site personnel general orientation
- Successful completion of department specific orientation
Essential Functions:
- Be pleasant, greet customers, and make sandwiches in a timely manner following HACCP standards
- Clean and sanitize station surfaces, including all utensils and equipment (toaster oven, microwave, panini press, etc.) used
- Clean other areas of the cafeteria: milk urns, coke beverage machines, nozzles, soup station, Starbucks and Seattle Best coffee makers
- Prep for next day's service by slicing meats, cheeses etc. - all standardized items for daily use
- Set up station with all food items required according to the menu of the day
