Colony Display is in search of highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant with advanced Excel skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing costs, preparing budgets, and conducting financial analysis to help our organization make informed decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical abilities, and proficiency in Excel to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively.

Responsibilities:
· Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
· Prepare detailed cost reports, including variance analysis and explanations for management review.
· Develop and maintain costing models to accurately calculate product and project costs and profitability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for cost analysis.
· Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
· Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and accounting records.
· Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as required to support decision-making processes.
· Provide recommendations to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency.
· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost accounting and analysis.
· Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and physical inventories.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data manipulation techniques.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving efficiencies and optimizing processes.
