Accountant

SUMMARY

Prince Industries is currently seeking an Accountant to join our team. They will work under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and will focus on a variety of duties including month end closing, invoicing, daily sales reports, and audit reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for month end close
• Preparing journal entries
• Account and bank reconciliations
• Fixed asset entries and monitoring depreciation
• Compiles information for transfer of funds for benefit programs.
• Assists with inventory.
• Assist with reporting including government and sales and use tax.
• Understands and analyzes product costing information.
• Assists with month end process.
• Assists with preparation of documents for annual audits.
• Back up for A/P invoice entry and A/R cash receipts application.
• Daily invoicing of shipments, including international invoices on demand.
• Prepares the daily sales report and distributes to appropriate personnel.
• Operating in Excel daily for documentation
• Utilizing ERP system
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work on a variety of tasks daily.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written in a professional manner.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the company and with customers.
• Excellent computer skills including payroll software, ERP systems and Microsoft office suite.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Keeps all personnel information confidential and private.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or payroll.
• Experience in manufacturing or machining is required.
• Epicor experience is a plus.
