The Division of Adult Institutions (DAI), Waupun Correctional Institution is recruiting to fill a Corrections Program Supervisor vacancy located in Waupun, WI.

Position Summary
This position will plan, coordinate, and administer institution-wide primary programs and processes as part of the development, implementation and monitoring of DOC rules and regulations. Responsibilities include promoting institution goals and implementing DAI policies, creating procedures for the institution related to Social Services and Chapel religious program services. This position directly supervises Social Workers in the performance of casework, counseling and program services to persons in our care. This position is part of the institution management team and take part in planning and coordinating activities and relationships with outside agencies, organizations and the public.
Salary Information
The starting pay is between $54,787 and $90,396 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code. The pay schedule/range is 81-03. A 12-month probationary period is be required.
Job Details
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:

  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating programs (such as security, treatment, clinical, social services, education, specialized programs, structured activities, etc.).
  • Developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating standards, policies and procedures.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary teams or approaches in the development, implementation and review of programs.
In addition to the above, well qualified applicant will have experience:
  • Performing supervision or lead worker related activities (e.g. assigning, directing, and/or evaluating work; disciplinary matters, hiring, providing training/mentoring, etc.)
