We are currently seeking a Correctional Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care in an institutional rehabilitation setting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates/residents.
- Attending sick calls with the physician to see inmates/residents, preparing a list of inmates/residents to be examined, and preparing the exam room and equipment.
- Operating pill calls, dispensing medication, and documenting as required by applicable policies and procedures.
- Controlling medication, syringes, and other medical supplies or equipment and maintaining inventory as required.
- Assisting the supervisor with evaluating the provision of all medical services to prevent inappropriate use or duplication of services.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a certificate as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Must be licensed in the state of employment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
