Position Overview
The Sr. Accountant will act as our accounting champion by leading critical accounting processes in both general and financial accounting along with helping issue biweekly payroll
The Sr. Accountant will have oversight of all accounting controls including enforcing financial policies, report preparation, and essential support with the annual audit
This is a key operational role that will work closely with the Controller and CFO on a daily basis
Not only will this person will be a chief resource for the Leadership Team; they will also interface with key members, volunteers, and customers regarding a variety of financial matters
What You'll Do
Carry out General Accounting functions for Operating and Restricted Funds; fulfill journal entries, file tax reports, A/R, and conduct account inspections
Guarantees adherence to internal controls along with advancing policy and procedure improvements
Oversee Financial Reporting including the preparation and management of accounting records and financial reports per reporting schedule
Contributes to the annual budget process by preparing a variety of budget reports including; departments, grant, and funding budget reports
Aids with the annual audit preparation
Requirements
Accounting Degree
Experienced utilizing Excel and he Sage Financial Software
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Skilled in verbal presentations and written communications
Competent in managing several projects concurrently in a fast-moving environment
Top-notch organizational and analytical skills are a must
Certifications
CPA and CPP a plus
