SUMMARY
The Corporate Pricing Manager will play a vital role in JSG's strategy to profitability grow the business. The position will be a highly collaborative role that will partner with sales, product management, finance, and IT to help drive Corporate Pricing initiatives. The role will drive corporate oversight of our price strategies, develop insightful analytics on gross margin and price traction performance and partner with our business units to help create strategic actions plans that will help drive profitable growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Pricing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing Corporate Pricing strategies to maximize profitability while ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
1. Develop & Oversee Corporate Pricing Guidance
o Develop and maintain comprehensive pricing calendar that leads to on-time execution of pricing actions that must be executed on throughout the calendar year
o Lead the annual price change process
o Support the development and communication of JSG Corporate Pricing guidance
o Support the business units in the creation of MSRP / MAP price
o Drive consistency is pricing strategy across business units for standard and contract pricing
2. Reporting & Analytics:
o Conduct thorough pricing analysis to identify pricing opportunities & trends
o Own the price traction reporting to understand impact and identify leakage
o Partner with business unit Product Managers with insightful analytics to support their price decision-making
o Maintain the official Commercial Cost model used in pricing analyses.
3. Stewardship Over Pricing Software
o Drive full utilization of pricing management software, PriceFX, to drive efficiencies and effectiveness in our pricing function. Take the lead role with IT in deploying any identified enhancements.
o Support the creation, maintenance, and communication of our Price Books in PriceFX with direct oversight and ownership of the US National Accounts
4. Price Compliance:
o Develop and implement price quote approval processes
o Manage price scraping software, PROWL, to ensure channel compliance with MAP. Partner with the sales operations to address exceptions
o Act in an audit function partnering with BU product managers to ensure BU pricing strategies align with corporate guidance
REQUIREMENTS:
• BA/BS in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Economics, or Statistics
• 3 - 5 years of experience in price management, ideally in a corporate or B2B setting
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and analytical modeling
• Advanced proficiency with Excel is required
• Excellent verbal, written, and executive communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong team orientation with the ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
• Project management skills, including experience creating, prioritizing, scheduling, tracking reviewing, and ensuring completion of tasks by set deadlines
