Deltech has an exciting opportunity available for a Corporate HR Business Partner to be an integral part of the HR team. The position reports directly to the Corporate Director of Human Resources and plays a crucial role in supporting and implementing various human resources functions within the organization. This position requires a well-rounded strategic professional with expertise in areas such as employee relations, recruitment, performance management, benefits administration, training & development, and compliance. The successful candidate will contribute to fostering a positive work environment, employee engagement, talent acquisition & retention, and the overall success of the HR department and the company. The position will have exposure to the C-suite team & plant operations managers and will seek to understand other business areas to broaden knowledge. The Corporate HR Business Partnerwill work a hybrid schedule Monday – Friday. Depending on schedule, some days will be spent at our Corporate location (8550 United Plaza Blvd, Ste 400, Baton Rouge, LA 70809) and some days will be spent at our Monomers Plant (11911 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70807).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Payroll:

  • Prepares and processes bi-weekly payroll utilizing automated payroll system (Paylocity)
  • Reviews timesheets and payroll register for accuracy.
  • Tracks corrections and adjustments needed during payroll processing.
Recruitment and Staffing:
  • Manages the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, talent sourcing, screening, and onboarding.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with local area training schools and vocational programs to strengthen talent pipeline.
Employee Relations:
  • Supports efforts related to employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Develops and implements employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace morale.
Performance Management:
  • Supports the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of performance management processes.
Benefits Administration:
  • Assists administration of benefits program including insurance offerings and 401k promotion & enrollment.
  • Assists in open enrollment and explains benefits & insurance offerings to employees.
  • Assists in compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to benefits.
Training and Development:
  • Identifies training opportunities and collaborates with management to recommend training programs.
  • Coordinates and delivers training sessions on topics such as diversity and inclusion, compliance, and professional development.
  • Tracks and assesses the effectiveness of training programs.
HR Compliance:
  • Stays informed about changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance.
  • Assists in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Conducts regular audits to ensure adherence to HR policies and legal requirements.
HR Administration:
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Handles HR-related administrative tasks, such as preparing reports, managing HRIS, and processing HR-related documentation.

HR Analytics:

  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to make recommendations.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and interprets data related to the company's human resources practices and processes.
  • Uses data and analytics to gain insights into employee behavior, performance, and engagement, and identifies patterns and trends that can help informed decision-making.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience; familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and payroll software.
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing or petrochemical environment desired
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Work, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); HR/Payroll management systems; Learning Management System (LMS) and/or other learning technology experience required.
