Job Title: General Ledger (GL) Accountant
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: 8:30am – 5:00pm PST
Location: Primarily remote, with potential for in-person meetings, trainings, or events in Portland, Oregon
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Controller
Compensation Package: Annual salary of $60,000

Job Responsibilities:
Utilize Yardi Property Management software
Manage month-end close process
Process journal entries
Maintain positive relationships with owners by communicating pertinent info on a regular basis and by responding within 24 hours to specific requests
Initiate bank deposit write-ups
Complete monthly property bank reconciliations
Process check runs to ensure vendors are paid on time
Provide accounting customer service to property staff and portfolio manager
Ensure debt payments are made in a timely manner
Provide accounting customer service to property staff & portfolio managers
Work closely with Controller to ensure that checks are cut to vendors on a consistent basis and in a timely manner
Assist with general administrative duties as requested by the Controller, Director of Operations and Portfolio Managers
Qualifications Required:
Authorization to work in the United States
High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet application, Word, and Outlook
General knowledge of accounting concepts and understanding of general ledger accounts
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Demonstrates ethical behavior and integrity at all time
Takes initiative to anticipate problems
Qualifications Preferred:
Prior Accounting experience in Property Management
Experience with Yardi Voyager software
