The Job
The Operating Partner provides direct, hands-on strategic and operational support to SCAN's portfolio companies. They ensure that the company executive teams have the resources, growth opportunities, team members, strategy, and processes it needs to meet the objectives established. Specifically, they will own Growth and Business Development (revenue generating opportunities) across the portfolio. They may also lead innovation projects inside the company to discover and develop the strategies, business opportunities and new technologies that will realize SCAN's mission and vision.
You Will
Partner closely with executive management of portfolio companies in formulating and establishing strategic growth plans, which may include pipeline development, care delivery model innovation, and new business models across the health plan, new geographies and new companies.
Source, own, and be accountable for growth, sales, and other business development opportunities for portfolio companies (e.g. additional payer partners, providers, etc.) Contribute to innovation efforts to continue to expand revenue opportunities and increase profitability across all platform investments.
Provide guidance and direction as the companies navigate the challenges of creating, growing, and scaling.
Support company investment and acquisition, as applicable. Contribute to a team of individuals to enable thorough and productive due diligence, investment, and execution process.
Assist the investors in identifying, prioritizing, and executing the key strategic initiatives across the business plans. Develop strategic direction and growth initiatives in a format that clearly outlines ROI for the sponsors approval.
Strategically lead mapping revenue projections, budget forecasts, and related expense management.
Be the conduit for, and ensure that portfolio companies are collaborating and communicating across our portfolio of assets and SCAN Group parent company.
Work with senior leaders to assess and develop their growth potential, effectiveness and performance. Partner with the individual strategic leaders of each business line to establish unit realistic performance objectives, training, education, coaching and mentoring.
Actively support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.

Your Qualifications
  • Master's degree (e.g. MBA, MPH, MHA) preferred
  • 5-10+ years of experience in one of more of: healthcare company, management consulting, provite equity, venture capital, banking, or related industry
  • 5-10+ years in a VP+ (VP, SVP, EVP, C-suite, or Partner) leadership role, strongly prefer in the healthcare industry (e.g. payer, provider, or health tech)
  • Strong preference for successful start-up, growth stage, or turnaround company experience
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work with and coach senior executives.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Skilled in developing and leveraging B2B relationships.
  • Out of town travel as needed
