Under supervision of the Senior Vice President (SVP), Corporate Communications, the coordinator helps manage various Corporate Communications channels; assists with content creation, such as writing stories, creating videos; and supports the SVP Corporate Communications with logistics preparation for internal/external meetings and events.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a creative office administrative environment, with strong collaborative multi-tasking skills with minimal experience with writing, editing, public relations or journalism and a passion for helping others.
- Manages Corporate Communications channels, such as the company intranet, resident-facing platforms, emergency system, HumanGood brand website and LinkedIn page
- Provides oversight of HumanGood social media sites and assets
- Assists with content creation, such as writing articles and creating video scripts, and works with the SVP, Corporate Communications, and other appropriate stakeholders to publish timely company information
- Publishes articles, videos and photography on internal and external company websites
- Devises, designs, and edits external communication items
- Pitches, schedules and covers interviews
- Writes, copyedits, proofreads, and revises communications content as necessary
- Assists the SVP, Corporate Communications, with logistics preparation for internal and external meetings and events, including our annual all-company meeting, The Big Connect
- Supports the Marketing department in identifying story opportunities, coordinating logistics and managing visits by writers, videographers, photographers, etc.
- Designs and implements strategies to share the HumanGood narrative
- Helps build our brand with external stakeholders and audiences
- Maintains reputation management efforts, including monitoring and responding to online reviews
- Establishes and maintains strong media contacts with national and industry press contacts
- Oversees local media PR efforts for HumanGood communities
- Oversees network of vendor and freelance partners
- Ensures content is consistent and reflects the organization's strategic vision
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related area preferred
- 2–5 years of experience working in a public relations agency, journalism or Corporate Communications environment.
Compensation: 60-70K depending on location and experience
Location: this position is hybrid, about 1 day a week in the office as needed. Occasional travel. Preferred location is Philadelphia, PA
