As a VIE correspondent positioned in the Miami Regional Office, you will participate in internal audit missions in the Americas zone (NORTAM & LATAM), under the guidance and reporting to the Head of Internal Audit for the Americas hub, which is an integral part of the organization of the Internal Audit department at the Group level (Audit, Risk & Compliance - ARC). This position will allow you to develop an excellent knowledge of the Group.
PROFILE
According to the provisions of article L122-1 of the French national service code, only candidates aged between 18 and 28 years old and European nationals will be eligible for this mission proposed in the form of a VIE.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with the Group annual audit plan or at the request of top management, will contribute to operational and financial audits, primarily but not exclusively on the different Group entities in the Americas. will participate in organizational, strategic and value-added audits.
- Focused on processes, will audit a wide scope of areas, from finance to business cycles (Operations, Human Resources, Logistics, Documentation, etc.), at the entity level in the Americas. In this way, you contribute to strengthening the department's footprint locally.
- Will pay particular attention to the quality of internal control, the compliance of local practices with Group policies and the absence of abnormal financial reporting. All CMA CGM Group brands are within scope of responsibility.
- Will measure operational and financial risks, using a methodology and studies selected according to the assignments.
- Will identify dysfunctions in order to establish diagnoses and propose solutions, write audit reports and ensure that the recommendations made are implemented.
- Results of audits will be communicated through audit reports and oral presentations to management.
- Based out of Miami Frequent travel abroad required
Skills, knowledge, and abilities required
- Master's degree in finance or engineering with
- 2 to 3 years' experience in internal audit, ideally in a reputable audit firm (e.g. Big 4).
- Previous experience working in an international environment and are
- Fluent in English and French.
- Computer skills required: thorough knowledge of Excel and use of databases.
- Business acumen and understanding of functional links,
- Good written skills, analytical mind, ability to synthesize and critical thinking are key
- Rigorous work, combined with creativity and situational intelligence will allow you to succeed in this position.
Skills, knowledge, and abilities preferred
- Knowledge of maritime activities and IFRS
- Knowledge of Teammate+
- Certified Auditor preferred
