Job Overview

The Corporate Accounts Strategic Account Manager II - ASC will be responsible for successfully managing and leading Getinge's strategic direction with our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) IDN (Integrated Delivery Networks) customers. The focus of the position will be assessing our market share position within the Ambulatory market as well as determining our GAP analysis with action plans. The position will have direct call responsibility on AMSURG, Surgical Care Affiliates, Surgery Partners and Value Health. In addition, the position will serve as the subject matter expert and assisting the Health System Team and supporting their ASC initiatives for their Target IDN's.  The goal is to increase our market share across the Getinge portfolio by defending the organization's current revenue while developing and implementing growth strategies for the entire Getinge portfolio through conversions or new opportunities including off-contract categories. The position will create access for all Getinge business units within the Ambulatory market by establishing and leading multilayered executive level relationships with all key decision makers and influencers within ASCs and our IDN network. In addition, the position requires strong collaboration across the Getinge organization and coordination with the Healthcare Systems National Director and team to help drive contracting positions. The position develops and implements complex selling strategies and programs that support current Getinge revenue and create new avenues of revenue growth. The position will also play key roles in critical and strategic projects and work streams and will have the capability of supporting process improvement initiatives.

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Direct call responsibility:  AMSURG, Surgical Care Affiliates, Surgery Partners, and Value Health.
  • Formulate cross-business unit strategies and plans for ASCs and assist sales management and business units with the development of contract proposals.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal and external contacts/relationships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Critically analyze sales data from a variety of sources and use analysis to validate or create effective strategies.
  • Recommend key pricing decisions that will enable Getinge to have a comprehensive ASC Program / Contract across all Getinge Products.
  • Formulate and lead as one point of contact for cross-business unit strategies and plans for ASCs.
  • Develop strong business relationships with all Divisional Vice Presidents of ASCs across the various states of coverage.
  • Work in collaboration with the National Director of Healthcare Systems and the Vice President of Sales to develop and articulate a strategic vision with ASCs. Lead various departments/ divisions by developing, communicating, and building consensus for goals and programs that support the company objectives.
  • Monitor and ensure Strategic Account contract performance, compliance, and conversions on key initiatives.
  • Drive and place heavy emphasis on creating, implementing, and executing a Capital ASC Getinge Program to include Service.
  • Partner with VP, Sales SWIC to develop long term plan to position Getinge to win Surgical Workplaces (SW) and Infection Control (IC) category awards.
  • Establish strong relationships with key Service Line Director, Supply Chain & Clinical Resource Directors within ASCs.
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships to further advance company goals of revenue and margin enhancement.
  • Keep the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision-making and action.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and support value creation programs.
  • Drive and support initiatives to educate the Field in ASC knowledge and/or creative financing.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Medical Device Sales experience.
  • Preferred 5 years' experience as an IDN Manager or Strategic Account Manager in the medical industry and/or direct ASC experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to demonstrate effective change leadership
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven understanding of Disposable and Capital Projects, GAP Analysis and Project Management.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to promote internal business case for Getinge / ASCs partnership to the President and CFO.
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop both internal and external long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Experience leading and directing cross-functional teams of peers (without direct reporting relationships.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate opportunity and data-driven solutions to senior management.
  • Able to work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives, where assignments are often self-initiated.
  • Demonstrated excellence in presentation creation and delivery skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.

 

Sales salary range:  Total Compensation= $265,300 - $283,300 (base + at plan target incentive) depending on experience and location
