Healthier for you snacking client is hiring for a Corporate Accountant. The ideal candidate will engage in the daily operations of the accounting functions that includes preparing, reconciling, tracking, and reporting of financial information. Additionally, because of our fast-paced growth, the candidate will be expected to step-up and assume responsibilities that may not be outlined below.
Responsibilities
- Enter invoices, bills, credit card, expense reports, and deductions transactions into QuickBooks
- Prepare, enter and/or review general ledger transactions
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Assist with deduction claims including analysis and submission of deduction claims
- Assist with the month end and year end close and financial reporting processes
- Ensure the financial statements and records comply with GAAP and/or Income Tax Basis of accounting and SOX 404 requirements.
- Engage with external accountants and tax experts during the annual audit/review and income tax preparation and filings.
- Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Administer Commission Accounting and Reporting process
- Administer Expense Reporting and reconciliation process
- Prepare ad hoc accounting research and/or analysis
Experience and Skills:
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting 1-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting and finance
- Detail-oriented focus
- Experience working with QuickBooks or similar accounting system
- Demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Detailed-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Confidence to work within a remote, fast-paced work environment
- In-Office requirement at Long Island Office
Compensation is $50k base, 10% bonus, plus EQUITY and 100% employer paid benefits!
