JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for overseeing organization's computer systems, phone systems, and network to ensure proper maintenance and security. Duties include working with other IT staff and company employees to identify network or computer system needs, overseeing the installation of new hardware or software and using employee feedback to isolate issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by Harbor Group Management Company.
Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Manage phone systems and network transitions for acquisitions and dispositions.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.
Manage HelpDesk Tickets and analyzing for trends and training opportunities.
Communicating networking issues to employees and management, especially in training new users.
Fix software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.
Serve as a key technical resource, providing advice, training, and technical support for various projects.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in a Network Administrator position; minimum of 10 years if not degreed
Certification in Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft certifications in Windows Server and Windows Client, preferred
Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols
Knowledge of Office 365 office suite
Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware
Ability to problem solve and think critically
Excellent attention to detail, as well as communication and project management skills
