Position Reports to Greenway Golf Associates, Inc. CEO
Full-Time, Exempt Position $150k - $200k Annual Salary
POSITION SUMMARY
A Greenway Golf General Manager manages the overall operational and fiscal performance of the facility in compliance with Greenway Golf’s policies and procedures. Manages all aspects of operations including the relationships between management, clubs, guests, employees, and community. Works in conjunction with the corporate team to develop and implement operational, marketing and business plans and strategies. Establishes and administers service and operational standards as well as quality performance guidelines for all operating functions and staff. Ensures execution of business plan and community strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and direct all key department operations to include Golf Shop, Driving Range, Golf Course Maintenance, Golf Operations, Food and Beverage, Sales, and Marketing.
- Ensure full compliance with all accounting procedures, working as needed with the corporate finance team.
- Ensure the quality of the guest experience across all departments. Formulate general plans and oversee their implementation towards achieving guest experience excellence.
- Ensure all assets, including facilities and equipment, are properly maintained and secured.
- Direct activities to optimize profit while meeting market position (experience) goals.
- Effectively communicate with the corporate team, vendors, staff and community in a timely manner.
- Monitor course/weather conditions for playability and safety and address any safety issues immediately.
- Work with the Greenway Team to understand labor management in all departments by reviewing weekly schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels to obtain customer service standards and job efficiencies.
- Provide inspirational leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to all on-course team members in accordance with Greenway’s vision and mission statement.
- Set a very positive tone for staff to achieve good morale and the highest performance standards.
- Meet weekly with the Program Director and/or Tournament Sales Manager to give direction and gain additional knowledge of the current market.
- Promote and follow all current and future company and course policies and rules.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Greenway team.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to functionally utilize word processing and spreadsheet applications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Two or four-year college degree
- Three or more years of experience in this or a similar role
- PGA or LPGA Certification a positive but not required
