About You: You can turn a phrase. You have a minimum of 5 years experience in advertising, journalism, or both. You have a notion for strategy and an eye for concept. You can write compelling long-form articles, brochures, newsletters, websites, print copy,and press materials. You can come up with original, effective, attention-grabbing headlines, social media posts, and digital content. You care about the story. You understand the audience. You can find the joy in revision. You can edit. You can interview. You get a little thrill out of collaboration.

About the position: This is a full-time, senior copywriting position. We’re a boutique agency. There’s a lot of metaphorical hat-wearing. As a copywriter for us, you need to be comfortable with producing long and short-form material for a wide variety of clients and industries. This means headlines and ads (print/digital), radio spots, television commercials, film, website copy, social media, business collateral, blogs, editorial, press releases, case statements, annual reports, catalogs, and more. Our previous work has included everything from individual tweets and taglines to bound coffee-table books.

Writing is often easier with the door closed, so we’re pretty flexible about in-office work. You should be able to get to our downtown Asheville office for regular meetings and events as needed. Ability to travel is critical. Familiarity with and knowledge of Western North Carolina and its cultural and natural resources is highly valued.
