PHE, Inc., is the parent company of Adam & Eve – the nation’s largest adult retailer is based in Hillsborough, NC and is now hiring a Copy Writer. We look like your typical office/warehouse from the outside. But the inside is filled with sex toys – making it the best-kept secret in the Triangle. And unquestionably, the most fun place to work!

The Copy Writer writes copy from conception to completion for SMS, email, and online media to promote the sales of goods and services.

This position will be based in Hillsborough, NC but it will offer a hybrid work arrangement after training has been successfully completed. Responsibilities:

• Write product copy for website, SMS & email.
• Consults with merchandisers to obtain information on products and discuss style and length of copy.
• Obtains additional information about products from vendors or web.
• Repurposes/rewrites product copy to assist in SEO efforts.
• Assists in creative and offer development for SMS and email.
• Writes all copy for SMS & email graphics and landing pages.
• Works with graphic artists when needed to review creative strategies and develop concepts for SMS & email.
• Reviews copy with team and project leaders to ensure adherence to concepts.
• Revises copy to achieve best possible outcome as agreed upon by the team.
• Reviews the quality of final product.
• Writes back of the box copy for Adam & Eve private label products as needed.
• Studies direct mail writing and practices traditional direct marketing writing techniques.
• Contributes to the success of the team by assisting in other duties defined by management.

Qualifications:

• One to two years related experience and/or training.
• Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
• Ability to accurately and creatively portray written descriptions of products and services.
• Ability to produce large quantities of copy within a determined time period.
• Ability to effectively present information and proofread copy for grammatical errors.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and concepts furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
