Farouk Systems is seeking a versatile Copywriter/Public Relations Specialist who blends creativity with technical expertise. The ideal candidate possesses an expansive vocabulary, excels in storytelling, and can effectively convey brand messaging to the public.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work in line with the marketing department schedules to help ensure all content supports the integrated marketing strategy whenever possible across email and newsletters, website features, social media, marketing collateral, packaging, etc.
- The copywriter will be responsible for writing and/or editing corporate materials, product packaging, marketing collateral, social content, and more.
- Craft brand-specific voice and tone, tailoring copy to diverse target markets.
- Develop engaging content including blog articles, media pitches, press releases, and various assigned tasks.
- Write and edit copy for product packaging, websites, product descriptions, marketing materials, event recaps, and articles based on interviews with key personalities, ensuring rapid turnaround for press-ready content.
- Contribute creative concepts for global marketing campaigns across multiple platforms as well as print and digital media outlets.
- Create shareable, compelling social media content aligned with brand image and marketing strategy.
- Foster audience engagement, encouraging brand advocacy and ambassadorship.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align content with integrated marketing strategies across email, newsletters, social media, and other platforms.
- Responsible for writing and/or editing corporate materials, product packaging, marketing collateral, social content, and more as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Experience in beauty or fashion is preferred.
- Solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles.
- Beauty industry experience is a plus.
- Understanding of SEO principles.
- Experience with content management systems, particularly WordPress or Salesforce is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Passionate about driving results and committed to creative excellence.
- Ability to follow editorial guidelines and use and update a controlled vocabulary.
- Versatile writing skills ranging from creative to journalistic to technical.
- Experience with digital marketing required.
- Ability to switch easily between different projects and flexibility to handle a rapidly changing environment while delivering high quality results.
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop or Canva and experience with PowerPoint.
