Job Description

At Nearpod, a product of Renaissance, we are looking for an experienced copywriter to help improve the effectiveness of our website and marketing materials. In this role, the ideal candidate will have a passion for writing and possess strong written communication skills.  

You will work with a team of marketers to generate sales leads, improve communication with existing customers, and improve the quality of our website’s content. You will also be responsible for writing copy for our website's various communications and marketing materials.  

This role will report directly to the Nearpod’s Director of Digital and Channel Marketing.  

In this role as a Copywriter, you will:  

• Write compelling content for print, web, digital ads, video, and marketing materials 

• Produce well-written content that is SEO-friendly and optimized for conversion 

• Create compelling ad copy, landing pages, and marketing campaigns 

• Collaborate with designers and other creative team members and implement brand guidelines across all projects 

• Works with various members of the marketing, product, and content teams to ensure cohesive design throughout the user journey 

• Work with the team to ensure messaging is consistent across all channels 

• Brainstorm and manage projects and juggle multiple deliverables 

• Design key messages and brand voice for external communications  

Qualifications

For this role as a Copywriter, you should have: 

• A writing sample or writing portfolio included with the application.

• Proven experience as a copywriter or related role, 3-5 years experience  

• Strong editorial, proofreading, and writing skills 

• Experience with SEO copywriting best practices 

• Experience with digital and content marketing 

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills  

• Passion for writing with an excellent portfolio of work  

• Strong storytelling skills, a creative thinker and problem solver  

• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a strong eye for detail 

• Desire to continue to grow the skill set with ongoing education and training  

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues 

Bonus Points:

• BS/BA in marketing, English, communications, or a related field  

• Be highly organized

Additional Information

Salary Range: $56,100 to $77,200  This range is based on national market data and may vary by location.
